Each member of the team plays an important role in maintaining the high standards our clients have come to expect. From planning and project delivery through to customer service and day-to-day operations, their experience, professionalism and commitment help ensure every project is managed with care from start to finish.
Daniel Baldwin
Group Managing Director
Daniel joined SHL Group Services in 2024, bringing hands-on experience within the scaffolding industry before progressing into health and safety consultancy. His practical background has helped strengthen compliance, safety and operational standards across the business.
As Group Managing Director, Daniel leads SHL’s strategic growth, focusing on quality, client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered to the professional standards the company is known for.
Ricky Mackintosh
Group Director
Ricky Mackintosh MCIOB is an experienced construction professional specialising in commercial management, contracts and business development. With extensive experience across the scaffolding, roofing and construction sectors, he supports projects from tender through to successful completion.
Working closely with clients and contractors, Ricky develops strong relationships, identifies new opportunities and provides the commercial expertise needed to help deliver successful projects.
Rob Worsfold
Operations Manager
Rob has over 22 years of experience within the scaffolding and construction industry, progressing from scaffold labourer to Operations Manager. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive knowledge across site operations, health and safety, and project delivery.
Holding both the NEBOSH Construction Certificate and NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Rob combines practical site experience with operational expertise to help ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Clare Hanney
Office Manager
As Office Manager at SHL Group Services, Clare oversees the day-to-day administration of the business, supporting the wider team while coordinating office operations, client communications and supplier relationships.
Her organisation, attention to detail and proactive approach help keep projects running smoothly while maintaining the professional, efficient service that clients and colleagues have come to expect from SHL Group Services.
Paul Bourne
Head of Estimating – Scaffolding
Paul joined SHL Group Services in 2021 and brings more than 44 years of experience within the scaffolding industry. As Head Estimator, he prepares accurate, competitive quotations while providing practical and cost-effective solutions for every project.
Working closely with clients, contractors and the commercial team, Paul assesses every enquiry carefully, helping projects progress efficiently from tender through to successful delivery.
Chris Mayhew
Senior Scaffolding Estimator
Chris brings nearly four decades of scaffolding experience, working across the UK and internationally on marine, offshore, industrial and commercial projects. Based in Southampton, he leads estimating across the South and coastal regions, with particular focus on marine, specialist access and bespoke works.
His extensive practical and technical knowledge enables him to assess even the most complex scaffolding requirements.
Emmi-Lou Hanney
Business Development Assistant
Emmi-Lou joined SHL Group Services in 2021 and has worked across a variety of roles within the business, giving her a strong understanding of the company’s operations and the construction industry.
As Business Development Assistant, she develops client relationships, supports tender enquiries and manages marketing and social media activity, helping drive continued business growth and strengthen client engagement.
Dave Burrows
HSEQ Manager
Dave is responsible for managing health, safety, environmental and quality standards across SHL Group, helping to ensure consistently high standards are maintained across the business.
Working closely with operational teams, he supports the safe and efficient delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company procedures and site-specific requirements. Dave also plays an important role in promoting best practice and maintaining a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement throughout SHL Group.
Jamie Duffus
Contracts Supervisor
Jamie has over 10 years of experience within the scaffolding and construction industry. As Contracts Supervisor, he manages projects from planning through to completion, working closely with clients, site teams and colleagues throughout the process.
Holding SSSTS, SMSTS and Advanced Scaffold Inspector qualifications, Jamie combines practical industry knowledge with a proactive approach, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Steve Baldwin
Transport Manager
Steve combines practical construction experience with a strong commitment to transport compliance, fleet management and road safety. After progressing from Scaffolding Inspector into transport management, he now oversees SHL’s fleet and transport operations.
Holding a CPC in Road Haulage and a Category C+E (Class 1) licence, Steve works to maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and reliability across the SHL Group Services fleet.
Rhianna Merlini
Administrator Apprentice
Rhianna is the Administrator Apprentice at SHL Group Services, supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day administrative responsibilities while developing her knowledge and experience within the business.
Working closely with colleagues across the company, she helps keep operations organised behind the scenes. Her positive attitude, willingness to learn and friendly approach make her a valued member of the SHL team.
Aaron Hayes
Roofing and Construction Estimator
Aaron has nearly 30 years’ experience within the roofing and construction industry, working on major projects including Stansted Airport, Heathrow Airport, HS1 and HS2.
His strong technical and commercial knowledge enables him to accurately assess and price a wide range of roofing and construction packages, from straightforward works through to larger, more complex contracts.
Ian Stanley
Scaffolding Supervisor & Inspector
Ian plays an important role in maintaining safety, compliance and quality across SHL’s scaffolding projects. He regularly visits live sites to carry out scaffold inspections, identify potential issues and ensure all structures continue to meet required safety and industry standards.
Working closely with operational teams, Ian also provides practical guidance to help ensure scaffolds are maintained correctly throughout each project.
Charlotte Abrehart
Finance Administrator
Charlotte joined SHL Group Services in 2024, bringing a strong background in office administration. As Finance Administrator, she supports a wide range of financial and administrative responsibilities while ensuring company records remain accurate and organised.
Her attention to detail, reliability and methodical approach help keep financial processes running efficiently, supporting the continued growth and day-to-day success of SHL Group Services.
